I am a Process Chemical Engineer working for Cat Tech International Ltd, Scunthorpe. The company provides a worldwide service to the Refining, Chemical and Petro Chemical Industry. Through the design and application of some of our more specialist technologies, my role is to work closely with our clients around the world to help deliver improvements in plant operational performance, energy savings, safety and the reduction in plant downtime during planned shutdowns. I earned my degree in Chemistry at Newcastle and have over 30 years experience in the Oil Refining/Chemical Industry. Throughout my time in industry I have achieved my teaching qualification (PGCE), Management level 4, A1 Assessor award (Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Petro Chemical Operations) and I am currently completing my masters in “multimedia and e-learning” from Huddersfield University. I have known and worked alongside Colin for a number of years and he is a great inspiration to all he meets.
